Discarded Fish
7/23/2024
This pile of discarded fish carcasses was left on the shore of Kemmerling Lake, at the Kincaid Pete Becchelli Park on July 21, 2024. This is unacceptable. Our Park and lake are for the public's enjoyment. This is a health hazard which smells and draws flies. We would ask that if you catch fish, that you take them home to clean them. Don't clean them in the park. Help take care of the environment. We also would ask that you pick up your trash and deposit it into the trash cans provided or take it home with you. If you are caught doing this, you may be arrested and fined. If anyone sees people doing this contact the Village Office 217-237-4713 and they will contact the appropriate personnel to handle this matter. Remember this park is for our community's enjoyment, help keep it clean and safe.

A Special Thank You
6/26/2024
The members of the village board and it's employees would like to say thank you to Mike Conrath and the anonymous donor for purchasing various fish for the Kincaid Park pond. They did this out of the kindness of their hearts to bring joy to the children. We would also like to thank Keith Conrath and Mitch Kirchoff for picking up the fish and putting them into the pond. A total of three-hundred fish were placed into the pond; including one-hundred Bass, one-hundred Bluegill, and one-hundred Channel Catfish.
